Two days ago, on my birthday, I wrote this on facebook:<\/p>\n

What’s on my mind, facebook asks. Well, a few things actually. Today is my 68th birthday and for that occasion I had coffee with pie with two people. After they left I had a short nap and after that I went over to the computer to pick up a faded away facebook habit: I posted this fantastic Happy birthday interpretation by Jimi Hendrix for the people that were mentioned to have their birtday. I kind of sang the song for myself today and it reminded me, shamefully of what my sister shared with me not so long ago. Once, in the time that I was full on angry with the world, she came over to my houseboat on my birthday, yet I was on my trip of not celebrating anything, let alone my own birthday and I even refused to let her in. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Those were the days. So, I intended to pick up this habit and post for my own birthday this Jimi Hendrix thing. What I found on arrival behind the screen, was an email of a friend who wrote me about his health. Actually he wrote, (I quote only one sentence of his shocking story), about the conclusion of the extended investigation of his condition: “They concluded, that every single month left for me without the necessity to use a wheelchair would be awesome and a reason to party.” So, for him and for my birthday, Jimi Hendrix. And remember folks, even if you are just happy, or suffering: having a life is a miracle. Enjoy.

Today, two days later, I add this to it, turning it into a blog that can always be used as a happy birthday message:
\nLast night was in a way special: I had invited my girlfriend for an evening in
\nour very own Opera house.
\nFirst row, right upfront the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra in the
\norchestra pit and the Dutch National Opera performing on stage Richard Strauss’

\nIn a 4 hour show, including two breaks they tell a story, dancing, acting, singing.
\nTop quality, yet for me it is not something that really touches me. It’s more like
\na sung strip story for the elite.
\nAll my life I have had a love-hate relation with art and the world of art.
\nI would loved to have become an artist. But what to make?
