Hans: For me this corona period has been the time that I have realized again and again how heavy India was for me. It was already to hot when I arrived. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, the first time i could not go to India i noticed that each<\/em> and every time i thought of India my system went ‘ah, lucky me, not that heat!’.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

India always had a ungraspable pull, had to do something with this fairy tale of becoming enlightened.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then there was this little girl that I met the first year and sponsored since.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two projects that kind of both are finished.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am enlightened enough by now I have decided, and have given up to strive for the 100 % one that would bring you in the same Nibbana heaven as for instance Buddha.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the girl last summer got married and is pregnant.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No more projects in India.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So when I go it will be to place and a time where it is not so hot.

All and all it is quite possible that I will not come to India again.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has India brought me?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question that “my” decision evokes in some people is this: what has India brought you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An example of this question and answer is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hans, how do you notice, or rather, what are the characteristics of someone who is fully\/partially enlightened?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My attempted answer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day before yesterday friend Jan sent me a video with the question “Is this useful to you Hans?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was this YouTube: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IPGks5K2kIs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I lend it an ear for ten minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s more of the same to me, but it’s by all means a man considered to be enlightened trying who is trying to answer that question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(He is engaged in a huge project with the intention of bringing a really large number of people to enlightenment: “Sri Amma Bhagavan’s intention is to gather 74,000 individuals from around the globe who share this concern for humanity and to facilitate their enlightenment.” https:\/\/www.74kgoldenage.com\/).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t take it anymore I notice, all the chatter about enlightenment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me personally it was the shocking discovery that there was no other answer to Isaac Shapiro’s question ‘And who are you?’ than that I somehow disappeared and that answering the question with “I” no longer made sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until then, the question ‘who are you’ was a weird question. Why? Because of course the answer could only be “I”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mentioned moment happened when I saw Isaac Shapiro for the fourth day in a row and I asked him something for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then began what I call the big clean up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what I sometimes referred to as (also my) enlightenment in those early years later turned out to be a first step on the road to enlightenment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swami Atmananda calls this pre awakening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People who have experienced this are referred to in Buddhism as stream enterers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first thing I thought of was to quote you something from my conversation with Rishi, but I sent it to you a long time ago and you wrote that you read it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, so good<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hopefully this answers your question a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
